Blended Wellness Dubai

Blended Wellness Dubai describes itself as a multi-wellness destination, a place to find yourself and celebrate the notion of simply being enough.

This was the first time visiting and we had booked a reformer class, gel nails and facial. Blended is located by the ocean at the Dukes Hotel, Palm Jumeirah, which offers easy access and valet parking. We took the little truck down to the centre because the walk from valet was quite long in the heat.

Our first impressions were of the beautiful surroundings and the incredible interior the centre has clearly put so much thought and effort into. It feels so unique, so tranquil whilst also being so on trend. You immmediately feel a sense of relief when entering the building, which is something not every wellness place is able to achieve.

On arrival I was taken to the changing rooms to prepare for my first activity. The rooms were all very clean, with large lockers, mirrors, benches, changing areas. All super easy to use.

Th first activity was the lower body reformer class. This class lasted 1 hour and there were about 8 of us in the class. It didn't feel crowded in the space and the instructor did a good job explaining each movement and helped when people needed help/adjusting positions. The exercises were challenging and required a lot of time under tension, which was good for a low intensity day.

The second activity was nails. I have to mention the really cool mug my coffee came in whilst I was having my nails done to start with. If I mention a coffee mug in this review, you can imagine how good the rest of it was. The coffee order was wrong.. but I really didn't mind. The nail session took around 30 minutes to complete and the therapist was very accurate and particular with the application, which I was very impressed with. The choice of colours was also very good.

We then had to wait a little while for our facials but decided to see if there was any space sooner.. which luckily there was. The team at Blended were super accomodating, which is super for busy entrepreneurs. I had a 20 min facial which was super relaxing, however wasn't expecting the mask to harden over my eyes and mouth. I get claustrophobic, but i breathed through it and calmed myself down! The therapist was calm and gentle throughout, so actually I would love to do it again.

Finally, I then went into the salt room whilst waiting for my friend who also had a facial. The room was stunning, relaxing and actually quite inspiring. I was given some tea, and 2 pots of snacks (dried fruit and nuts). It was so aesthetic, so calming and absolutely beautiful. There was a plunge pool in the salt room, a sauna, a station for fruit infused water, and a relaxation area that was beautifully lit with various types of seating. I sat on the bean bag and relaxed for 20 mins. The internet connection wasn't great in there so it actually forced me to sit in the moment and be in my own thoughts without any electronics. Whilst for many entrepreneurs, bad signal may be a downside, but realistically, you really should be sat in your own thoughts, enjoying the moment and not on your phone. So thats a bad point for me, not for Blended!

Overall experience = highly recommend. Staff were friendly, knowledgable and accommodating and the place was beautifully designed.
